Animal Feed Mill Project

At Nakheel, we have adopted a circular economy business model that is committed to sustainable development through utilizing the products and by-products of the Date Palm Tree. In pursuit of the same, the Company identified the opportunity to establish an Animal Feed Mill Facility to replace the cultivation need for “Forage” with pelleted animal feed such as long fibre pellets, concentrate feed and complete feed derived from agriculture waste (green waste) mixed with energy sources (grade 5 dates) using the state of the art technology. The pelleted feed not only aims to enhance the nutritional benefits of the ruminant diet, but also have an environmental impact through saving the water reserves of the country. The Animal Feed Mill will be complete in Q2 of 2022, located in South Al Batinah (Barka) with an initial production capacity of MT 48,000.
